Daniel R. Folkes is an Indian River High School graduate, located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Following graduation, he went to work full time in the restaurant industry. His hard work prevailed in a very short period being promoted to kitchen manager of a very busy local restaurant. Searching for a career change, he left the restaurant industry and began working for John’s Brothers Security as an outside sales agent. This experience gave him the knowledge needed to move to his next step as a recruiter with the national company, Aston Carter. After 12 months, he was promoted to manager. His hard work and expertise in placing clients brought the attention of other companies. He was recruited himself by CALIBRE and is now a Technical Recruiter 2. He is a constant producer for his company.
Daniel is extremely creative and has put those talents to work, with the creation of Folkes Film Productions, LLC. He produces wedding and special event videos using still cameras, videography and drone footage. Taking a couple’s entire wedding day, condensing it down to a 5 to 10-minute video set to music. Being his passion, he is hoping to turn this into his full-time career in the future.
